Walt Disney World Spring Break March 2015 Days 3 and 4

Hey guys!

Thanks for giving this blog some attention! I am excited for my program to actually start so I can document some really awesome stuff. In the mean time, here's some more from my Disney World spring break trip!

Day 3 was a day off from the parks and a day to rejuvenate at the pool/hotel. It was honestly much needed! Day 1, I was running on three hours of sleep and then Day 2 consisted of a full day at Magic Kingdom. So clearly I had some resting to do! I enjoyed sleeping in and tanning by the pool.
Here is the piano pool! I tanned by the bigger pool, but how cute is this?!

It was so refreshing swimming in a nice pool with the Florida sun shining down on me. I got some much needed Vitamin D and a nice tan.

Cooling off with a delicious Mickey bar!

After getting ready, we headed to Downtown Disney for some shopping!

Then we headed to Fort Wildneress because we had reservations at Hoop Dee Doo Revue for dinner! I'd never been to Fort Wilderness before so it was really exciting checking out this part of Disney's property. It is a campground, so people can bring their campers with them or sleep in cabins. There is horseback riding, trails for hiking, volleyball courts, playgrounds and more. Although it is a campground, I still felt like we were on Disney's property and could feel the magic there.

Dinner was awesome! For those that do not know, Hoop Dee Doo Revue is one of Disney's most popular dinner shows. You can expect to enjoy a night of entertainment and delicious food here! The actors put on a great Western themed show with slapstick style comedy. There is singing, dancing and lots of audience interaction. Dinner is all you can eat salad (not pictured), barbecued ribs, fried chicken, corn, beans and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious! Hoop Dee Doo was well worth my money and I plan on returning here during my program!

Day 4 of the trip was Hollywood Studios! Fun fact, sometimes I still call it MGM. I didn't really start calling it Hollywood Studios until my trip there last year; I was just so used to calling the park MGM!
It was a fun filled day of going on rides!

A great day for eating... (we went to Pizza Planet, Sci-Fi Dine In and I got a popcorn bucket wahoo!)

And bought the cutest pair of ears EVER! All of Ariel's sea friends from The Voyage of the Little Mermaid told me I needed them, so I listened and bought them.
It was an overall successful day at Hollywood Studios! I have a huge love for this park. Maybe because I love the whole behind the scenes feel of Hollywood, but it's really just such a fun place. I think it would be super cool place to be placed for work there. Some of the costumes I saw were super cute and I sincerely love the atmosphere of the park!

Anyway, stay tuned to read about the last two days of my trip! I'll probably break those into two parts but we'll see. Thanks so much for reading my post and for following along with my Disney College Program journey (or the beginning of it, at least).

Have a magical day and I'll see ya real soon soon!

Love, Lindsey :)

Walt Disney World Spring Break March 2015 Days 1 and 2

Hello everyone!

I took a trip to Walt Disney World for spring break this year! Back in January, I was really bummed I didn't have any plans for spring break. We've had a really cold winter and I really wanted to get away from that and escape to somewhere warm for a week. I had gone to Disney on my spring break last year and since I knew I was applying to the DCP, I thought that maybe I should visit somewhere different this spring break. I thought really hard about a few different options, but realized the places I wanted to go to would be extremely expensive or would be difficult to get around because of transportation since I'm not old enough to rent a car. So my friend Marina and I decided to go to Disney!

We stayed at the All Star Music Resort!

Last year we stayed at All Star Movies. I just need to stay at All Star Sports to say I've stayed at all the All Star hotels! I've developed a special place in my heart for these hotels. They're so fun and brightly decorated, and best of all, affordable. If you're looking to take a trip to Disney World and would like to stay on property, definitely check out one of the All Star hotels. I could honestly just stay at the hotels and still have a fun time! There were two pools at All Star Music, an arcade, picnic areas, a bar, a food court with tons of options, and fun recreational activities like pool games and movie nights by the pool! We actually caught Monsters Inc at All Star Sports one night!

Our first day consisted of going to Downtown Disney, eating at Earl of Sandwich and Ghiradelli's, shopping, swimming, and eating pizza and wings from the hotel for dinner.

The next day was Magic Kingdom! It is always super emotional going to Magic Kingdom -- it just is the image of pure Disney magic and I always feel so happy when I'm there. It makes me feel like a child again and I honestly feel so carefree when I'm there. This time was even more special because I have now been accepted to the Disney College Program so I know now that I get to work for this amazing company in the very near future.

So many magical things happened that day. For one, I tried my very first Dole Whip! After years of going on vacation to Disney, I have finally tasted it and now LOVE it! I was celebrating my birthday on this trip, and the people at Aloha Isle saw my birthday button and said the Dole Whip was on them. So magical! It made me so happy to have been recognized like that and it made my first Dole Whip a lot more special. I really appreciated that. I will be eating plenty of these on my College Program!

I met Princess Tiana for the first time and she was the sweetest! She saw my DCP Acceptance button and said, "Welcome to the family!" It really hit me in that moment that I was getting to work for Walt Disney World. She said that she hoped she would see me around more often, and I told her I would definitely be visiting her a lot when I come back in August!

Couldn't complete a trip to Magic Kingdom without lunch at Peco's Bill!

I don't want this post to get too long so I'm going to stop here and continue talking about the rest of my trip in another post. I just thought it would be fun to share about my most recent Disney trip, and I'm happy to have this blog so that I can look back someday and remember all my wonderful Disney memories!

I hope you all have a magical day and I'll see ya real soon :)

Hello!

Hi everyone!

My name is Lindsey and I have been accepted to the Disney College Program for Fall 2015! My role is Merchandise and I am so excited to be a part of the magic at Walt Disney World this year!

On this blog, I plan on posting updates before, during, and after my program to help better capture memories and the emotions I'll be feeling during this whole process. I have well over 100 days to go so it might seem silly of me to be starting this up now, but I want to be able to remember everything about this one of a kind opportunity. This will also be a great way to update my family and friends back home when I am on the program, as well as reaching out to current, past, and future CP's!

In the mean time, make sure to check out my DCP Instagram: @lindseydcp, as well as my YouTube account: LindseyDCP. I know, I'm super creative with the usernames haha. I haven't posted any videos to the account yet but I'll be working on a few soon!

I hope you have a magical day and I'll see ya real soon!
